Believe English

U

We learn to use language correctly because we want to be understood.  When we study hard and practice and then go out and try to talk to somebody in our new language, and they don’t understand us.  It hurts.  A lot.   It is not unusual to be misunderstood, even in your own language.  It makes us wonder, “What am I doing wrong?”  Nothing.  You are not doing anything wrong.  There is nothing wrong with your English. You are doing the best you can.  We are here to help each other.  To let each other make mistakes and keep listening.  And learning.  And understanding ourselves.  Understanding that we are doing our best, that we can learn and do better.  Believing in ourselves and in other people.  They want to understand us.  When we pay attention to each other, and listen, and help each other; we will understand each other.
