K

      We used to pronounce the “k” in our “k” words.  Can you image K-nee, K-night?  Now it is often silent and it is not “c” which so often sounds like “k”.  Cat, cook, clean.  Benjamin Franklin hated keeping our old spelling because of kinks like this, but I think it’s OK.
