There is a famous question:
Is the cup half empty of half full?
I look at my hand, my empty hand, and I know the answer is full.
Full of potential. There are so many things I can do.
I can snap.
I can play the guitar.
I can write.
I can draw.
I can wash the dishes.
What can you do?
Look at your English.
Your English is full of potential too.
There may be things you can’t do- yet.
But there are things you can do. Words that you know. And things that you have done.
Something as simple as saying, “hello” or “thank you.” That was a great kindness to reach out to another person in English.
You may have done even more: given directions, read a book, taught another person.
Believe in yourself, you are full of potential, there is so much that you can do.
1,2,3,4
1 Put one hand in the frame on the page.
2 Outline your hand.
3 Write in the outline.
4 Write something you can do.
Because
”I can” statements are very simple, yet very powerful. If I can do this, then I can do that, and that, and that. I can do anything I put my mind to.
